Most of Utah received a smattering of festive snow Christmas morning, while the ski resorts got a new layer of coveted powder.
As of 7 a.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service reported that Brighton received 11 inches of snow, followed by 10 at Alta, 8 at Canyons and 7 at Snowbird and Solitude.
Scattered storms are expected to continue throughout the day, which could bring another in one to two inches in the valleys, though areas east of Provo and parts of central Utah could get in the 6 inch range and require driving through some storms on Interstate 15.
